Inside Sales Executive

We’re looking for intelligent and pro-active consultative sales people to join the award-winning Mitchell & Dickinson team.

Our mission is to insulate Britain’s period properties in order to reduce carbon emissions and help avert climate change, while simultaneously protecting the UK’s architectural heritage by making older homes warm and comfortable to live in now and for the future.

We have created a unique and award-winning insulation system that is leading the field, and we need excellent consultative sales people to help us spread the word. Based in our Bideford office.

Essential qualifications: Degree or equivalent, Maths and English to GCSE grade B or above

Essential experience: Active sales experience (not just customer service or retail).

Working Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.

We provide full training in all of our products and sales approach.

Senior Carpenter Craftsmen – in either Bideford + 1 hour or Bristol + 1.5 hours or Banbury/Warwick + 1.5 hours

We are now seeking an experienced/qualified second fix carpenter with excellent finishing skills to work as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes in Bristol and Bath + 1.5 hours or in Oxon, Warks and Northants based in Banbury or Warwick + 1.5 hours or in the South West operating from Bideford.

The successful candidates will have extensive experience in joinery, restoration and excellent attention to detail and finish and be prepared to work away from home at least one week per month.

Junior Carpenter Craftsman

We often have vacancies for newly qualified carpenters or carpenters who have some work experience to train as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes throughout the South of England, working with either our Bideford, Bristol, Newbury or Guildford-based teams.

You will need a keen eye for detail, a neat worker, smart and presentable, and prefer working indoors in beautiful house environments. A passion for the environment and an interest in helping solve the problem of climate change will be important for this work.

Hourly rates depend on qualifications, experience and ability.

Carpentry Foreman/Team Leader – Banbury + 1.5 hours

We are currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified carpenter to lead our Banbury based team managing all aspects of on-site installation of our unique sash and casement window , loft, room in roof, and floor insulation products in our customers listed and period homes. The role will involve some expenses paid stays away during the month, although at least half of each month will be working within an hour and half drive of Banbury.

Successful candidates will be skilled and experienced in second fix carpentry or joinery including kitchen and furniture fitting and will be able to work away from home during the week for at least one week per month if required and will have computer, people, organisational and time management skills.

They will also be well presented and able to deliver jobs to our high standards of craftsmanship and finish. Training and guidance will be provided on project management and team leadership for our particular products and approach. An interest in the environment is essential.

Quote Surveyor – South of England

We will soon have vacancies for additional part-time Quote Surveyors for two days per week initially with the potential to grow to more days to go out to prospective customers beautiful period homes, take measurements and details of current heating and insulation provision and identify and advise which of our unique range of solutions would provide optimal energy savings and improve the comfort levels of the property.

Some customer-facing/sales experience is essential together with experience of conducting home surveys, and knowledge of energy efficiency measures is an advantage. An interest in English architecture and heritage, an understanding of the construction of older properties, a personable approach, and an interest in the environment will be critical. You will also need to be well organised, with a full, clean driving licence and be happy to travel, potentially throughout the South of England during the working week.

With a degree of flexibility in working days, this role usually suits those with other responsibilities/a portfolio career.
Full training in our systems and company approach will be provided by our in-house surveyor team.

The role offers flexible workdays, expenses and a car will be provided for working days or an allowance for use of own vehicle.
