Business Development Executive – Bideford

Due to our rapid growth we are recruiting a Business Development Executive to work in our busy Bideford sales team.

An interest in architectural heritage and action on climate change will be an advantage.

On target earnings in year one including salary, commission and bonuses: £26,000-£32,000.

Trainee Senior Craftsman – Oxford

With strong environmental credentials our mission is to significantly reduce carbon emissions, energy consumption and cost of heating Britain’s older homes whilst preserving the elegance of our national architectural heritage.

We are now seeking an experienced/qualified carpenter with excellent finishing skills to work as part of our installation team installing our custom-made, craftsmanship-led insulation solutions for period and listed properties in the Oxford area.

The successful candidates will have at least three years’ experience in joinery, restoration and excellent attention to detail and finish and a full clean driving licence.

The pay scale is £28,000-£33,000, depending on age and experience.

Sales Executives

Due to our rapid growth we need to recruit two additional sales executives, either part or full time, for our successful head office sales team.

The successful candidates will have knowledge and/or experience of working in the property or home furnishings field, have excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong numeracy, and be articulate, bright and results driven individuals, able to converse at high level and in a consultative, informative way with the owners of listed and period properties who enquire about our services.

An interest in architectural heritage and action on climate change will be an advantage.

Senior Carpenter Craftsmen – in either Bideford + 1 hour or Bristol + 1.5 hours or Banbury/Warwick + 1.5 hours

We are now seeking an experienced/qualified second fix carpenter with excellent finishing skills to work as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes in Bristol and Bath + 1.5 hours or in Oxon, Warks and Northants based in Banbury or Warwick + 1.5 hours or in the South West operating from Bideford.

The successful candidates will have extensive experience in joinery, restoration and excellent attention to detail and finish and be prepared to work away from home at least one week per month.

Junior Carpenter Craftsman

We often have vacancies for newly qualified carpenters or carpenters who have some work experience to train as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes throughout the South of England, working with either our Bideford, Bristol, Newbury or Guildford-based teams.

You will need a keen eye for detail, a neat worker, smart and presentable, and prefer working indoors in beautiful house environments. A passion for the environment and an interest in helping solve the problem of climate change will be important for this work.

Hourly rates depend on qualifications, experience and ability.

Quote Surveyor – Devon / Somerset working across the South West

We will soon have vacancies for additional part-time Quote Surveyors for two days per week initially with the potential to grow to more days to go out to prospective customers beautiful period homes, take measurements and details of current heating and insulation provision and identify and advise which of our unique range of solutions would provide optimal energy savings and improve the comfort levels of the property.

Some customer-facing/sales experience is essential together with experience of conducting home surveys, and knowledge of energy efficiency measures is an advantage. An interest in English architecture and heritage, an understanding of the construction of older properties, a personable approach, and an interest in the environment will be critical. You will also need to be well organised, with a full, clean driving licence and be happy to travel, potentially throughout the South of England during the working week.

With a degree of flexibility in working days, this role usually suits those with other responsibilities/a portfolio career.
Full training in our systems and company approach will be provided by our in-house surveyor team.

The role offers flexible workdays, expenses and a car will be provided for working days or an allowance for use of own vehicle.
