Carpenter Craftsman

Bideford, Bristol or Newbury teams

We are now expanding further and seek experienced/qualified second fix carpenters with excellent finishing skills to work as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes throughout the South West.

We can offer full time or flexible part month working ( one, two or three weeks per month), £25 daily cash subsistence for working away from home, and all away working expenses ( accommodation, insurance, travel) paid. Hourly rates depend on experience and ability from £12 to £17 per hour.

Trainee/Apprentice Carpenter Craftsman

We are seeking newly qualified carpenters or self starters with experience in some building trades and an interest in developing carpentry skills to train as part of our installation teams in our clients private listed and period homes throughout the South of England, working with either our Bideford, Bristol or Newbury based teams.

You will need a keen eye for detail, a neat worker, smart and presentable, and prefer working indoors in beautiful house environments. A passion for the environment and an interest in helping solve the problem of climate change will be important for this work.

Hourly rates depend on qualifications, experience and ability from £8 to £12 per hour.

We also pay daily cash subsistence when working away from home as well as providing nice accommodation and transport to jobs.

Carpentry Foreman/Team Leader in Newbury

We are currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified carpenter to lead our Newbury based team managing all aspects of on-site installation of our unique sash and casement window , loft, room in roof, and floor insulation products in our customers listed and period homes. The role will involve some expenses paid stays away during the month, although at least half of each month will be working within an hour’s drive of Newbury.

Successful candidates will be skilled and experienced in second fix carpentry or joinery including kitchen and furniture fitting and will be able to work away from home during the week for at least half the month and will have computer, people, organisational and time management skills. They will also be well presented and able to deliver jobs to our high standards of craftsmanship and finish. Training and guidance will be provided on project management and team leadership for our particular products and approach. An interest in the environment is essential.

Carpentry Foreman/Team Leader in Bideford

We seek an experienced/qualified carpenter with a keen eye for high standards of finish and good problem solving skills to run a team working on period windows and doors in our clients beautiful old private residences. We can offer either full time or more flexible part month working (two or three weeks per month), and we offer higher rates for away working plus away work expenses paid, good accommodation and £25 cash for daily subsistence.

Ideal work for a well organised second fix experienced carpenter with kitchen fitting and joinery installation skills who can lead others, and who would like the opportunity to experience work in different heritage buildings and residences in various locations all over the South of England.

Hourly rates dependent on experience and location from £15 per hour to £17.50 per hour for a 40 hour week, with overtime payable after 45 hours.

Quote Surveyor – South East – Newbury hub

We are recruiting an additional part time Quote Surveyor for, one or two days per week initially with potential to grow to more days to go out to prospective customers beautiful period homes, take measurements and details of current heating and insulation provision and identify which of our unique range of solutions would provide optimal energy savings and improve the comfort levels of the property.

Some customer facing/sales experience is essential as well as experience of conducting home surveys. An interest in English architecture and heritage, an understanding of the construction of older properties, a personable approach, and an interest in the environment will be critical. You will also need to be well organised , with a full, clean driving licence and be happy to travel , potentially throughout the South of England although broadly within a 2 hour drive of Newbury, during the working week.

With a degree of flexibility in working days this role may suit someone with other responsibilities/a portfolio career.

Full training in our systems and company approach will be provided by our in-house surveyor team.

The role offers flexible work days, expenses and a car will be provided for working days, or an allowance for use of own vehicle.

Remuneration will include a day rate plus results related bonus to provide an OTE of between £28000 and £32000 pro rata. depending on experience and level of training required.

Inside Sales Executives

Essential qualifications: Degree or equivalent, Maths and English to GCSE grade B or above

Essential experience: Active sales experience (not just customer service). Experience of working in a busy sales office with both phone and customer-facing sales experience.

Working Hours: Weekdays 9 – 5

Job summary:

Managing your own pipeline of customers dealing with every stage of the sales process from initial enquiry through to invoicing when the job is completed.

Building excellent customer relationships throughout the sales process.

Proactively managing the customer journey through to an order working with our external sales surveyors  and operations team to ensure the customer has all information they need at every stage and experiences excellent customer service.

Manage all communications with customers from telephone enquiry and qualification of prospects to setting survey appointments, arranging work appointments and then checking job progress/dealing with any customer issues during the job, and post job customer service call and invoicing.
