From initial consultation to project build and aftercare, we offer a step-by-step guide to our home insulation process

When you commission Mitchell & Dickinson for a home insulation or secondary glazing project you can expect a first-class experience from start to finish.

Mitchell & Dickinson supply a premium product, so you can expect a premium service to go along with it. From the moment you first get in touch, through to survey, quotation, project installation and aftercare, we will be on hand to answer your questions and offer expert advice.

Our step-by-step project installation process

  • 1. Initial consultation: When you first get in touch we will arrange a phone consultation with one of our friendly customer services team. They will ask you about your property and get an idea of the work you’d like to carry out.
  • 2. Survey: We will then send a surveyor to your property to assess how your home is heated. They will establish where your property is losing most of its heat and what solutions will give you the best return on investment. They will talk you through the best Mitchell & Dickinson solutions for your property. They will then take the required measurements at this stage.
  • 3. Quotation: The surveyor will feedback on the details of the survey and we will prepare a fixed price quotation. Once you are happy with the quote and have agreed on the scope of works, you can place your order. Note that at this stage we ask for a holding deposit.
  • 4. Project specification: A specification surveyor will then come to your property to complete a detailed technical survey and design your bespoke installation. We will then order the materials specifically for your installation and schedule a team of expert craftsmen to deliver your project.
  • 5. Installation: The project team will come to your property at your allocated booking slot and install your bespoke period insulation project. The timescale of the installation will depend on the scope of work, but we can guarantee that our team will be tidy, respectful and as unobtrusive as possible.
  • 6. Aftercare: Once your installation is complete, our customer team will follow up with you to check that you are completely happy and feeling the benefits of a cosier home.
